E-PAWS-B Secondary Survey Training
E-PAWS-B is the systematic secondary survey conducted after MARCH life threats are addressed. This module trains Examine, Pain management, Antibiotics, Wound care, Splinting, and Burns.
- Secondary survey: head-to-toe palpation, log roll, baseline vitals documentation
- Pain management: CWMP, OTFC 800mcg, ketamine analgesic and procedural dosing
- Antibiotics: cefadroxil (oral), ceftriaxone 2g (parenteral), metronidazole for penetrating wounds (Change 25-1)
- Wound care: irrigation, hemostatic gauze management, dressing changes
- Splinting: PMS checks, traction splints, pelvic binders
- Burns: Rule of Nines, Parkland formula, fluid resuscitation targets
